Our journey to creating Canvas  comes from our hearts and our years of experience. As mental health professionals, my spouse Kirk and I dedicated ourselves to serving others through psychiatric hospitals, non-profits, and state agencies, where we saw both the transformative power of quality care and the heartbreaking gaps in accessible services.

Life deepened our understanding when our own daughter was diagnosed with autism. Despite being healthcare providers ourselves, we struggled to navigate the very system we worked in - a challenge that touched us deeply as both professionals and parents. This personal experience lit a fire within us, clarifying our purpose: to create a welcoming space where adults, teens, and families in Fort Worth can find exceptional mental healthcare that truly meets their needs.
